As noted earlier, a few people on the Moto forums say this works as a temporary fix until Moto releases an update. I am going to give it a try...
Go into Setting -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks, then under Network Mode Select "Sprint Only". See below:

That is unfortunate. This does not work... just had 2 "ghost" calls after trying it.
I had the calling issue happen calling out and on one incoming call. After that, I did a complete factory wipe. It has not happened again, yet.. However, all of the calls I have made or received have been while I was in a 4g area and with 4g turned on. Has anyone else had this happen in a 4g area?

Like I said before, pocket detection is off for me and I have this issue. How many people have had the issue and don't use the in pocket detection? I haven't had this issue in particular!\
also like its been posted there working on it! give it a little time
I just posted on the Moto support forum as well.I advise anyone who has this problem to make a post at the Motorola Support forums and make yourself heard. Here is the current thread for this issue: https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/55069
It's also worth noting that the Motorola XPRT also suffers from this problem. It was released on June 5 and so far there's been no fix for it.

Make sure you post this on the Moto forum as well...Well that's depressing. No fix for the XPRT since 6/5? Well, if that's the kind of support for the primary function of a phone you get with MR then I'm moving farther and farther away from getting this "phone."
The other features are kick ass. I went to a store and played with the dock and the keyboard.
But, I don't care how many features the Pho 4g has, if it can't do the basic function for which the device is intended and it takes over a month or two to fix this, then those other features are meaningless.
If it can't function as a phone, the Photon 4g is a useless brick.
When I can hear the other person, I am quite happy with the quality as wellComing from an Evo3D, I am very satisfied with the call quality so far.
Much better than the Evo also. Only issues so far have been losing power and having to take out battery.

roaming? An earlier poster said something about it happened after roaming, and that's when it happened to me, too. Any other people having this problem after roaming?
Alright, I had the "Ghosting issue" happen twice today even after restarting. I was set for Sprint Only so I know its not a roaming issue. I can only say what I was told from sprint when I called. They said they knew exactly the issue and needed to push a refresh to my phone (which I was on at the time). She had me hang up, pull the battery out for at least 30 seconds and power it back up. It did some type of an update and then said it was complete. She called me back to see if it came back alright. I asked her if this was a permanent fix or was she just trying something to help. She said it would fix it permanently. I asked why they were not pushing the update/refresh to all the phones. She replied that they are not sure that this problem it is affecting a majority of the phones and they are doing on a call in basis. She said if anyone else had this problem, they need to call in to have it corrected. I am not sure if this is actually fixing it, but this is the information I got. So far so good.

I will try it again in the same coverage area that I was in when I had the problem the first time. But, this time I will turn off the 4g and see what happens.
Has anyone had this same experience? I have not heard of anyone else that has had success calling Sprint and getting an update like this.
