Help Problem with typing sound when touching keyboard?

Can anyone help with this issue? In settings the key is checked for typing sound while typing on keypad. But sound doesn't work. I went into the sprint store a couple days ago and they checked for a update on my evo 4g phone. ever since then the function doesn't work? I'm planning on going back to sprint store to ask them what happened....

You have gone to menu.settings.language and keyboard. Press on your keyboard and then checked sounds while typing correct? If it did not work go to menu.settings.applications.on phone and find your keyboard in the list and clear data. You will loose your dictionary. Then go back and try again. If it does not fix it do a factory reset (sometimes required after an update) iif that doesnt fix it take it back in to sprint.

Go to menu.settings.sounds and change the sound profile to vibrate then to silent then back to normal. This fixes the problem for me.
