Root Problem with unrevoked

I am having this same problem, as I have a new evo and I get this "misc" error and have hardware 0004.

How do you contact the unrevoked3 people about this? There is no way to contact them.

There is no way that I am arware of to contact unrevoked unfortunatly. Hopefully they will release a version that will work with the new sofware.

I think they have twitter, maybe even facebook accounts. that is the best way to keep up with what they are doing. there isn't anything to contact them about... they are aware of it and working on a new exploit. when they find it they will update it. It was a month or more before they got everything in line after the 2.2 upgrade so just be patient and let them do their thing.

Well said. Agreed!

Just got two tweets from them today. One was that they found a work around for the EVO. Not sure what that meant....whether they were talking about the manual deal or if it is a one click deal....

that most likely means they found an exploit and will incorporate it

keep watching

Hi. It's been nearly a month since the last posting. Has anyone heard about any updates regarding this error and unrevoked? Just got my EVO today and tried to root, but got the "Internal Error: couldn't find misc".

Unrevoked's twitter today says, " @bsmith21 It will work on all released EVO versions, including the 3.30 series. about 3 hours ago via Tweetie for Mac in reply to bsmith21"
unrevoked dev team (unrevoked) on Twitter

That being said, I tried it again today & I'm still getting wrapped to the beginning after, "This was a triumph". So, unless they haven't posted whatever that Tweet is referring to, the tweet is wrong.

I'm an idiot. The tweet before the 1 above says it's not ready yet.
" @yentruocross The new version will S-OFF and root your phone with one click. It's not ready yet, though."

Have they said anything about the 3.22 not turning s-off on older phones? Do they plan on addressing that?
