Root problems after the 2.2.1..getting rid of SU

Ok so I rooted using the doroot program. no deoxing or custom things. (Although that stuff really sounds cool) I downloaded the 2.2.1 update and lost my root. I tried to reroot using doroot permission denied. I downloaded terminal emulator to manually unroot. after I typed in SU it said permission denied.

Any suggestions? I guess I should have unrooted before I updated.
I basically rooted for infrequent tethering. I am not really that techy just kinda a goob to this...ie I need a droid x unroot for dummies when all fails. LOL

just download z4root and use it ,it may take a few minutes but it should work and its simple
Download z4root 1.3.0 for Android Free - z4root will root your device and enable you to supply system level access to applications that request it. - Softpedia
and you may have to re download some of your root apps
