Root Problems downloading CUSTOM ROMS

So I downloaded ROM MANAGER (Free version) and everytime I download one of the roms, and I go through the process of clicking wipe cache + backup rom, it just restarts my phone...That's it. What am I doing wrong?

In addition to Rom Mgr, you'll need to d/l Droid X Recovery Bootstrap - Android app on AppBrain

You'll have to use it to d/l the droid x bootstrap recovery before you can reboot into recovery. Rom Mgr is dependent on proper installatin of Droid x bootstrap. I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask more questions should you come across any concerns.
