Root Problems installing UD10

So I have downloaded this link:
udthemeud10-BDS-20100412-2232.zip (is live now)

and I put it onto my SD card named "update.zip"> Reboot my phone into SPRecovery> Perform a Nandroid backup>Wipe Data>Wipe Cache>Allow update.zip>Install update.zip.

and it says "Installation aborted" D: what is this blasphemy.

that looks like a nandroid, you dont want to rename it at all. you also need to place it in the nandroid folder on your sdcard and choose it from the advanced restore menu in sprecovery.

or just get a better rom.

I really enjoy UD, A lot more than BB.

So its that easy? Thanks. I'll try it.

sounds like a problem that could easily be solved by picking a better rom like CRP said. Sorry but not many around here look highly upon Blackdroid or his crew. Anyway you will need to unzip it into the nandroid folder the preform an advanced nandroid restore.

Ok UD requires Nandriod and I did what both of you said and it didn't work. Cyanogen was very hard to navigate through the site and the download link didn't work...

Download RomManager, Open RomManager, Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery, Download ROM, select CyanogenMod and select the newest one... easy peasy...

Seriously if you can flash a ROM using SPRecovery you should have no problem flashing CM...

Even though they're both pretty much the same (and that's pretty literal) UD10 worked a lil better for me than cyanogen 5.0.6.2. Still, I wasn't crazy about either one. UD9.8 has worked the best for me, so far. I highly recommend the ROM. Even if it is a chop shop, just donate to the other guys and your conscience will remain unscathed. lol
