this is the info from phone: hboot-2.10.0001..........radio-2.15.00.05.02.....when i flash the s-on tool it gives....update failed unsupported radio version...can anyone help thanks

Sorry on the phone so I can't link, but you need to downgrade your radios to the 3.70 stock rom first before flashing the s-on tool. So flash the radio then the s-on tool should work.

i just flashed the 36img zip...and everyting went to stock but s-off is still off...if that makes sence...and when i reboot it keeps reloading the 36img zip...was thinking of trying to run s-on tool now but have to get the 36img zip to stop loading everytime i reboot...lol

You'll need to remove the PC36IMG.zip file from your SD card, or just hit power down to select no in hboot. Then you'll be able to get to recovery to flash the S-on tool.

Got yaa, good to see you around still. I see a lot of the old guys are still here. I did got to the Samsung Galaxy S 3. It's different and am still getting used to touch wiz from htc. Just trying to unroot so I can sell the old htc evo 4g...it was a good old girl but time to upgrade lol. hope to see you aroundHoly smokes it's been a long while beav!!

Well I removed the 36img file from sd card....when I boot up in recovery it shows a pic of the phone with a red piramid with a red exclamation in the middle...any ideas? when I do a battery pull it will boot up into normal screen....the stock rom.

Might know someone who is interested....then you dont have to unroot it.

Thats your stock recovery from the first PC36IMG. Your gonna have to put a custom recovery back on the phone to flash the S-on tool.
But then your gonna have the custom recovery on there with S-on. So.....you'll probably need an RUU after that.
I didnt join the EVO train until gingerbread, so I sadly don't have a lot of experience withe the older methods

Well I would say it's half unrooted....just don't have s-on....lolHow much would you want for it?
Might know someone who is interested....then you dont have to unroot it.

Oh my, no, his got obliterated. Literally. As in, long story short, he is a dump truck semi driver... dumped his load...set his phone on the trailer frame.....let dump body down...smashed phone between frame and dump body...it stayed there...got loaded, crushed it some more...dumped load and found it....
hey hunterbeav what is your hboot and baseband now? like rxpert says you will need recovery to flash the s-on tool. the order to unroot is flash the s-on tool and then run the ruu to get stock rom and recovery installed. so get recovery back on to the phone and then when you let us know what your hboot and radio is we can then steer you in the right direction.
