Root Problems with titanium backup

Zambo44

Lurker
I am running Virtuous 3.2 with the incredible revolution theme. It works great until i try and run titanium backup to restore all my apps and settings. after everything is restored, my phone eventually gets stuck in a boot loop. it gets to the home screen. sometimes it just displays "loading" and then restarts, and sometimes the home screen loads for about 30 seconds then it reboots. any suggestions?

Edit: every time it does this i do a battery pull and a nandroid restore to when it was in working order, before the titanium restore. i think one time when i restored only the apps and not the user data it worked fine. but then when i tried to restore the user data, the usual effects take over.

A few more details might help. Are you restoring system data and if so, what Rom were you on when you ran your last titanium backup? Did you just now load the new Rom or was it working OK and then you added the theme after the fact? Do you have one or more Nand backups before or between the recent additions of Rom/theme?

I'm restoring all data that's stored in my titanium backup, whether or not that includes system data i'm not sure. whenever i perform a restore, never on the progress bar does it say "restoring system data". last titanium backup was stock rooted. the theme/ROM combo works fine with all the stock apps and such. it also works when i download a couple of my old apps from the market. i loaded the rom early yesterday and it worked fine for a couple hours until i tried to titanium restore. and yes i have a nandroid of the virtuous/incred rev (pre-titanium of course), and i also have a nandroid of my previous stock root with all my apps and system and data and such.

I would nandroid back to your happy place then when you have you bare Rom and/or theme set up, choose menu > batch > restore missing apps and data (not system data). I'm guessing your problem is in restoring system data. You'll have to make a few system setting changes to your liking and then youll be back to full capacity with your new setup
