Root Problems with velocity 0.3

so this is really starting to piss me off,
there's a whole list of things that piss me off about this ROM.

It will randomly restart
Text Notifications NEVER make sound no matter what i do.
Home button does not work, neither does the search button.

I've tried rebooting, re flashing, downloading other things.

Still to no avail.

A little help please?

Did you wipe cache and Dalvik cache before flashing?

It sounds as if it may be something other than 0.3. I've been using the ROM since it was released, and it has been rock solid! You may want to try a better quality screen protector rather than stock. I've read other posts that mention the same symptoms you describe that cleared up once the screen protector was replaced. Worth a try I think.

I've been having problems recently with my text notifications not making sound. I don't remember when it started, but I don't think it was from flashing Velocity 0.3. Any suggestions? I am completely at a loss as to what to do. Call ringtone still works.

*update*

So I installed a different ROM (raptor)
and it has the same problems as Velocity did.
Maybe my phone just doesn't like rom's?

Found out that I had to boot into recover, advanced settings, clear the Dalvik cache, AND factory reset.
Now i'm running with Raptor v0.1, and it's working amazingly.
Going make a backup of this and flash Velocity v0.4 onto there.

Oh you weren't wiping everything to begin with? Yeah that would be why you were having problems haha.

From now on, read all of the instructions listed in any post for flashing ROMS/kernels etc. Not knowing what you're doing and winging it can have serious consequences.
