Help programs to autocycle airplane mode to reduce time without signal

Friends,
I was looking for a way to cycle airplane off for a minute and back on unattended three or four times per day in order to reduce time without signal and corresponding battery loss.

Right now I am trying market app "ring scheduler" by Kevin Yaun.

If anyone has other ideas or methods please do post them here!

This is more of a query for support than a true "tip" for the Epic 4G, Aero, so I've moved the thread out of the Tips and Tricks area to the Support forum for you.

Tasker is the one I keep hearing about, but I don't feel like buying it just for this. Maybe if I think if something else usefull to do with it. I've got a Beautiful Widgets toggle button on a homescreen and just hit that after any reboots. Does it need to be done more often than that?

I just toggle Airplaine mode whenever I reboot, and that seems to handle the Time Without Signal problem for me.
