The reason you don't see this on HTC devices is because of quick settings. Since that exists nobody is modding the status bar that way anymore

Can't do mms on that Rom. It is odex'ed and I can't deodex to fix mms. The developer won't respond on how he did it. I have a sneaky suspicion he compiled his own odex files and made it where standard tools won't work. So for that reason I can't fix mms on it. Or else it would be my daily driver
 
When I get the phone I'll be making a awesome sense & non-sense ROM for the evo v. I should be getting the phone sometime this month; maybe in the next week or two.

If you are rooted go to evo 3d cdma forums and look for leedroid tweaks. Flash that and you can change the quick settings to your hearts content. Plus many other visual enhancements

Flashed it and my status bar disappeared and my UI keeps FC'ing.

I wiped both caches before I flashed it...not sure if I was supposed to or not.

You sure you got the one for sense 3.6 from the cdma forum? That is the package I used in my Rom and it functions fine
 
Has anyone else got the quick settings that tweak to work on the stock rom? Brycee, you said it caused lots of issues yes? I really like my setup so don't really want to switch roms. Just want to adjust those quicksettings a bit.
 
With LeeDroid, I have the clock centered but everytime I disable the original clock it comes back so now I have two clocks :/
 
I don't have this phone yet, but I hope to be upgrading from the Optimus V soon. Is there a good MIUI out for the 3VO that could be converted to an Evo V ROM? I love MIUI but have never been able to use it since it's to unstable on my phone.

Also I believe this is my first post here so Hi everyone :D You may recognize me from AndroidCentral.

I have sense ROM I made that needs testing; not going to make the non-sense version till I get the device. If you guys ever tried meanROM for the Evo 3D, it would help me if you compared the performance against my ROM.
 
Yes everything works, and yes to the second question too; you're asking a lot of questions. Testing the ROM will answer most, if not all, your questions. Hopefully the ROM will be faster than MeanROM and most of other ROMs available on the EVO 3D; though it's just in V1.0 stage so theirs always things to improve on...
 
Lol. I know a lot of questions. Just trying to get the lay of the land before deciding to try it out. Can be flashed through 4ext? I flashed a lot on triumph bit still a little wary on the HTC. Ican give it a shot.
 
Yes it can, by experienced users only though, I believe my ROM has it along with some 3D Evo ICS ROMs.
 
I believe the crt effect is through the framework if im not mistaken? I'm not really used to the framework of this phone's os so ill have to do some more poking around to know where things are and such.
