Thanks :) I thought it sounded gimicky. Interesting that it's that accurate. Now I'm going to buy it :)
 
The free one used to work for me on and off.

It uses the video recorder. You press your finger on the camera lens and it detects the rate of colour change due to fluctuating blood flow rate in your finger tip.

Very innovative, I might add.
 
I'm extremely interested in the app now just because I really wonder how it really works. I can't look at my finger and detect any color changes when I'm exercising. My camera has lower resolution than my eyeball does. My brain says it shouldn't work. Yet people are saying they used them and it worked so obviously it does.

You can see the effect with your naked eyes if you turn on your phone's flash and place your finger tip over it. You should just about be able to see a pulsating red glow.

How accurate do you find the Instant Heart Rate? I found it interesting that it uses the camera to take a picture of your finger to tell you about your heart rate.

Actually haven't had any time to look at HD widgets at all today.

I have found the heart rate monitor to be pretty accurate. Especially for just a quick check using my phone.

only thing i can think of.. is to borrow a friends new device.. ex: evo 3D
activate it on your account... online (free and simple)
get the app.

deactivate the EVO 3D and return it to your friend.

wait till you upgrade to a device that does work. and be able to use the app then.

to much trouble.. just buy the app later ... when you do have a new device.

Sleepy Jack runs great on my Inspire. I was really hoping they would offer this game. I gave it a test run. Not my kind of game, but my six year old will love it. I plan on giving my phone to him when I upgrade in a few months.
 
I grabbed EZ PDF today and Instant heart rate yesterday, up to $1.10 in apps so far. Despite the repeats I'm going to miss this promo when it's over, been fun to check each day to see what is available :)

There are some apps I was hoping would be available which have not, if you could pick the apps that YOU would choose for the ten cent deal, what would they be?

Some free apps I have right now that I would like to see would be:

The promo is tones of fun. it was my little addiction for the past 9 days. It made me less jealous of Amazon's app of the day free app.

Executive assistance and lookout would be two that I'd LOVE to get a deal on.

For everyone else, I hope WidgetLocker is on the promotion tomorrow. It's hands down the BEST app for an Android phone.

I think you can buy through the web market whether you have a compatible device or not. Not sure though.

In any case, I'm finding the apps for the last couple of days (including today) to be lame. They're just not worth buying IMO.

That sucks, I have been lucky and have been able to purchase all of my apps

On the web I have multiple devices listed... droid X, MT4G, Nexus S, and E4GT, only 1 of which I still use and it has been over a year since I have owned the Droid X or MT4G. I wonder how long it takes until the market no longer lists devices I don't have anymore since I can't delete them?

Just bought Camera Zoom FX. I was hoping they'd have Vignette instead, lol.

Did anyone get Star Chart? How much better is it than Google Skymap?

So, question of the day. How many of these promotional apps did you uninstall after the 15 minutes refund time?
Mine are as follow:
super ko boxing 2 (no changed since the first one and it got boring fast) , sim city deluxe (got bored with it) and HD widget (widgets were ugly)

Sak, you are rooted right? I don't think you bought as many as me but even half of the apps you bought, I don't think an uprooted Desire could hold that many apps.
