Pure calendar widget [official topic]

What about changing the facebook blue indicator to a different color? I have the htc incredible and facebook is linked threw a setting in the original calendar app.

This is not working at all for me. All I have on my screen regardless of tasks I have created is a list of days with dashes beneath them. It will not update and shows no tasks at all.

which task provider did you select ?
do you have the task application installed ?

dashes ? did you enabled 'show days without events' ? if yes, why ?

I checked my settings in the calendar in my phone, and all is normal. I can see all my info for agendas and tasks and such, they just wont sync to the widget, or the widget will not detect my calendar. Either way... It doesn't work.

By the way, Droid 2 stock deodexed running 928 black glass. Being that it's only a stock theme, I can't see how that would affect it.

Hi,
I love pure calendar !! A lot better than stock version.
BUT: I cannot find a way to do a search on all the events in my calendar in order to find quickly one keyword !!! A friend with his I-phone did this in 5 seconds... BUT it seems no calendar app for android has the ability to do this search on events!!.
Could you tell me if you plan to add it ? or if you know a calendar app doing this ??
Thanks a lot !!
Cheers

I see nothing but dashes under days that DO have events. So either way it is not working.

If it works for 60000 users, it should work for you...
I advise you to :
- uninstall the app
- reinstall it from the market
- insert a fresh widget WITH STOCK CONFIG (do not touch any setting)

Hi,

currently, no, there is no plan for adding this.
I personally think that this is not a feature for a WIDGET...
But if you want to suggest it here :
Suggestions Android 'Pure' widgets series (calendar)
It allows me to know how many people are interested by new features resquested.

I still cannot scroll past 3 months. I have been thru all the settings and cannot find anything that refers to that option. Can you point me in the right direction please. Thanks

widget config -> Agenda tab -> search period (up to 6 months).

I must be looking in the wrong spot. If I click on the tools from the widget I only get General, Calendars, Timeline or System tab

You are in the wrong topic ;)
Here, we are talking about 'Pure calendar widget' ... not 'Pure GRID calendar widget'...

anyways, there is a text size option in Pure Grid too.

I was happy to see you've now created a way to link to Pimlical, however, I can't find Pimlical listed in the selection screen. Do I have to recreate my widget to make it happen? I really wish I could save my font color, I have to recreate it every time (it matches my wallpaper and is legible, I use the transparent background).

I confirm, it is in the list of launchable apps.

No need to remove/readd a widget to get new features.
And if you do it, why don't you export/import settings ?

Thank you, I did find it, I'm trying to do too many things at once - sorry :o I think I'm all set now.

However, when I exported my settings, I couldn't get back that font color. I do wish there was a better color picker in Android, I know that's an issue.

Hey Koxx,

First of all, thanks a lot for making this widget. It's bloat-free and has tons of options, so it's an all-around great download.

My question is about the 4x1 calendar widget, which is my preferred size. There seems to be enough room to list 4-5 items, which the widget does if they're all on the same day. Is there any way to make it so that this size of widget shows as many events as there is room for, even if they are on multiple days? (that's what the larger sizes do currently).

Oftentimes I'll have maybe 1 unimportant event the next day, but several important events the following day (e.g., weekend stuff vs. workweek stuff), and it would be really nice to see them all displayed within the available area of the 4x1 widget. Thanks again!

If you buy Launcher Pro, it will allow you resize widgets so you can choose a 4x2 and make it a 4x1 and retain the 4x2 properties. You can also make your home screen 5 columns wide and keep the 4x2 and still have 3 columns left to work with.

Koxx: saving the widget setup seems pretty meaningless if importing the saved widget doesn't allow you to skin it the way you had it. Every time I switch ROMS and such I have to do the whole thing from scratch and then skin because importing a saved setting just throws the widget right up. Any way to rectify that? Saving widget settings would be easier if it incorporated how it's skinned or allowed you to skin it before it's put up.

4x1 is clearly the most difficult size for Pure calendar due to the design with header bar.
Did you try inline dates option ? it should allow you to see 3 or 4 events event on separated days.
But I clearly advise a 2x2 widget which can display much more informations.

I don't know why you say that it doesn't let you reskin a restored widget, that's false.
Just press the config button, and select the skin.
Or may be I am missing something...
And to be clear, EVERYTHING is saved in the widget config.
Believe me, I save, delete, insert, restore widgets at least 10 times per day since 2 years...

So, to reinsert a saved widget :
- insert a fresh widget
- in the config panel, press restore and restore the widget.
- that's all. Everything is restored.

If it doesn't works for you, there is a big issue with your phone.
