Push Email?

Anyone know of a way to get non gmail push email on the Note, similar to a blackberry or iphone? I tried K9 mail and set it up to push, but it never worked. I have yahoo bizmail accounts that I use for work. Thanks.

The best you are going to get is IMAP set to a 5 minute interval.

Please excuse my ignorance... but why not use regular Gmail with "sync" turned on?

This is for non gmail email. My gmail works fine, but my work email comes through yahoo bizmail. I have three different email accounts.

I was just about to post this. I have my GMail get my mail from 3 different accounts. What I do is set up a filter to label my mail from other accounts and also set it up so I can reply through those accounts directly from GMail.

Now, is it PUSH? Can't say for sure, but I know that whenever I send a test mail to one of those accounts, it's almost instant that it dings my phone with a new mail.

Can you explain how you set up other accounts through GMail? That is exactly what I'm looking for if it will handle a .me address.

This is the way I did it:

Go into the email account you want to use with GMail
Create a forwarder for xxxx@yourdomain.com to zzzzzz@gmail.com

This will send ALL email to your gmail account (this happens as soon as an Email arrives, gives you the impression of push mail)

In GMail, go into Settings
Click on the Accounts tab
in the Send Mail As section, you should see your GMail account already. Click "Add Another Email Account You Own"
You will be presented with prompts to supply your log in info for this account.
Check the button for "Reply from the same address the message was sent to"

All set.
