I tried to find some info but i couldnt get an answer. I was wondering if it was possible at all, or what i would have to do to get an Evo on Verizon.

AFAIK you cannot move phones back and forth with CDMA. I think there's a way, but I doubt it would work and would violate your TOS.

I think you have to have someone at Verizon put your phone in their system, and good luck getting someone to do that unless you know someone on the inside

shift.evolve, howd you get your avitar to show up as a gif? i put a gif in mine and it just shows on pic of the gif.....

sorry for kinda thread jacking, it was just one of those "oooooooh, shiny!!" type of things lol

yes it is physically possible but no it will never happen. The ESN is carrier specific and most domestic carriers will not activate another carrier's branded phone on their network. The only company i know that will do this is Cricket. They will even flash their own bloatware, lol. The closest you will get to VZW with your evo is flashing a hybrid prl that uses sprint but roams in available vzw network areas. Works pretty good actually.

Sounds interesting. I am thinking about moving to Verizon and get the Thunderbolt, not because of the phone itself but because I have like the worst reception ever in my area. How do I go about flashing that hybrid prl?

That is so far from the truth tons of carriers are happy to flash phones for a nice fee.

I thought Verizon was GSM and Sprint was CDMA? Wouldn't a CDMA phone not work on a GSM network?

@surf: dude just call Sprint and ask for an airave. I was not getting ANY calls at the house before, now with the airave, POW full service and 3G data. Even out in my yard, a good 100 feet from the transmitter, and my house is brick!
