Root Putting GB on my Bolt..

So, I got a question. I have most everything downloaded and ready for me to start the transition but while reading the instructions, i didn't entirely get this last part.. "Once done, flash the ROM (mecha_gingerjane_1_2.zip) from recovery after making a nandroid backup. DO NOT REBOOT! (If you

also, you do not want to use gingerjane. it is basically the leaked OTA,and unless youre using the "fixed shit" version, the camera is broken, among other things. developers have really cleaned up that leak alot... it would be pretty stupid,IMO to even mess with the origianl leak. not to mention that jcase had pulled all his links for it on XDA,so downloads of it elsewhere may not be with his permission.

there are many 2.3 roms that are 100x nicer. gingeritus 3d,bamf 3.0,ginger th3ory,liquid gingersense, just to name a couple. check out the thunderbolt rom list sticky for xda links.

if you can live without sense,cm7 is a wonderfully stable AOSP rom,and some of us now are using liquid thunderbread with great results. there is also OMFGB.

plenty of other ways to get GB on your phone than messing with the original buggy leak.

Don't forget synergy. It has a sense 3.0 as well as senseless version. Best rom hands down.

Thanks for the advice but sorry, I meant to leave out I'm not actually using Gingerjane, I'm using Das BAMF 3.0 RC 4.. That was only for a guidline on how to upgrade to Gingerbread.. Could I get clear instructions on how to do it for Das Bamf?

Here you go. Follow this and youll have whatever rom you want.

1. Download both the radio and whatever ROM you choose. There are three MR2, MR2.5 and MR2.75. Theyre pretty much all the same, but some people report better things about each. Try them all and see what your phone likes best.

2. Make sure to rename the radio properly and that it doesnt end up .zip.zip. Place the radio in the root of the SD card and place the rom on your card. I would suggest in a folder named Rom and Kernels for easy finding but thats your choice.

3. Reboot into recovery.
4. NANDROID aka backup.

5. Fully wipe. Do a factory reset, wipe cache, go into advanced and wipe davlik cache and battery stats.

6. Flash in the ROM and once that finishes, pull the battery and then hold down the volume button and the power button bringing you to HBOOT. Let it update and that will give you the new radio.

7. ???

8. Rejoice

I could be missing something, but for the most part...thats about the way it goes.

Well I cant say thanks enough.. What is your opinion on the Gingerbread radio however?

My opinion on something like this is as irrelevant as anyone elses I think. It matters what your phone thinks about it. lol. I personally use the MR2.75

Well I got everything up and running however my radio is off... Not sure why.
I used the "1.12.605.6 CDMA/LTE radio combo.
CDMA Radio version: 1.16.00.0223r
LTE radio version that came with 1.12.605.6"

From the Repsins Sporx link I chose the last one which was MR2.75 so.. I think that's the OTA. Says it was released July 11. So far everything's working and I appreciate the help
