Qik Live 2-way video chat?

I heard Qik has improved. Maybe the Skype/Microsoft influence ($$) helped out. Need to try it out sometime

I got a text from Sprint yesterday, saying there was an update for Qik. It had a link but when I tried to follow the link I got a message about it being Malware. Did anyone else experience this? I decided it wasn't worth taking a chance on proceeding.

I wonder since it is a part of skype right now if they will deliver skype service through quick or we are going to need to wait years to get the Skype video app which has been out for ios for a while now.

Have seen someone else use Tango - it was pretty nice and worked across platforms and device types.

Haven't ever given Qik a chance since so many users report a less than smooth experience. I also think Qik is going to get absorbed by Skype at some point now that they're both the same company.

Wonder how Fring is.

The newest version of Qik seems to work okay. I used mine with my Dad who has the EVO 3D. The audio was really choppy, which made it very difficult to carry on a conversation. The video isn't perfect but would be ample if the audio worked well enough to go along with it. They're getting closer.

The newest Sprint Qik update is very good, alot of people are still on the older version.. I'd say they are 85% there.. It worked pretty well even over 3g..
