Hey Guys, So I have a HTC EVO 4g fully flashed to metro pcs running metrodroid 4.0. A few days back my data stopped working. its showing the 3g icon but wont download anything(even though it shows its downloading). I ended up looking through my qpst settings and saw that the password box under ppp config(um and an) was empty. I wrote in the spc and wrote it to phone. Same thing so i opened qpst back up and it was clear again. also the gps settings are clearing themselves as well. Ive tried to do it on another computer and even wrote different PRLs but nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

are you clicking "write to phone" and letting it reboot? and what rom are you running?

I am using metrodroid 4.0 and yes i am clicking write to phone and letting it reboot completely.

It the phone is rebooting that means you are changing something, it's just strange that the settings won't save. I recently updated my prl with cdma workshop and didn't have any problems. Lately metro has been pushing prl 2004 to all flashed phones but I don't think that would affect your phone like it did.

See at first i thought that it was just me but we have the family plan and the other 4 phones had the 2004 pushed. however for them i just pushed 3029 and theyre back on 3g and it works great. btw they all have htc heros. its just my evo that is doing this and the 2004 was never pushed to mine.

So my issue just got weirder this morning. I left my web on all night and when i woke up i checked my email through k-9 mail and it worked! however when i tried to access the web or other apps such as fml or craigslist it wont load. Also when i try to access the web through the stock htc browser it gets stuck at a white screen and the url changes to: http://vsrvr-nms-01-app.metropcs.net/nonprov/ but doesnt load anything.

I clicked the link on my evo and it does the same. But its strange that your email worked. Have you tried flashing a different rom?

yea i also flashed a HTC Inc and at first had the same problems until i updated the prl thru CDMA Workshop.
i would give metrogen mod a try ( OCN put the link above me) but any rom will work as long as you flash the mms fix (there's even a fix for ICS)

mms fix

sorry for the late reply i was in the hospital and knocked out for a few days(stupid allergies can cause more problems than i thought possible) Anyways i reactivated my htc droid incredible and ran the full flash guide and now that link(http://vsrvr-nms-01-app.metropcs.net/nonprov/) opens a page with a message saying" to sign up for metroweb please contact metropcs. Im on the Metro family plan and no one in my plan has this problem? Can metro somehow block my web off or is there a way around this?

Metro can't block it because according to them you only have talk and text. Only thing I can think of is did you type in your msl code correctly under the Um tab? That can cause problems

Yeah i double checked the um tab and rewrote the msl code..still no internet..its so odd because it checks my email and shows txt but wont load images or full webpages..what can possibly cause that?
