Root Quadrant Score

hmm.. why would they. it could have been that he had more tasks running in the bg but idk i have made a barebones version of hoarks cm7 build and i get 1900-2000+ in standard quadrant

if ur friend had a quadrant below 2000 on a galaxy s2 then his phone is running pretty bad

Try running the Antutu score app and see what comes up. I always get signifacantly lower scores with it than with Quadrant. I know that we all for the most part have tweaked for speed and such but some of the numbers might not add up.

the scores are a bit lower because antutu benchmarks the sd card were as standard quadrant doesnt. since sd cards have low read & write speeds it negitively effects the overall quadrant score. i still got a pretty good score having that i use the cheap low class 2gb sd card that came with the prevail. as you can see with the screen shot below the r/w speeds are pretty bad.

I like the androids on skateboards...mines 1735 rite now...my sdcard r/w are zero's - anyone know why?

What tweaks did you do? Thats if you dont mind me asking

i wont go into detail for that i have done a lot of modifications but i will briefly list what i have done. first i made a barebones version of hoarks cm7 build and ive gotten to get the zip to a low 56.7MB. I added/edited values and lines into the build.prop. added a couple of scripts into the init.d folder.

oh ok gotcha thanks for the quick response

Ron - if you find the free time would you be willing to extensively relay the specific tweaks you have made in order to increase your performance as you've shown? I think that would be quite beneficial to this thread as the idea is basically to "show off" your high scores - hah. As I've stated in another post/thread I am eager to understand build props more in depth and what they control within the phone.
I'm specifically confused on how you managed to "compress" the zip file even smaller and how that affected performance - as well of course the ladder.
Thank you for your time and contribution:)

Hmm wonder if its possible that the results could ber skewered for CM7 over everything else similair to how certain benchmarks on dektop favor amd over intel and ati over nvidia and vice versa

I get scores all over the place but here are some examples

CM7 Beta 5
Using Hroark Original sd-ext kernel
SD Card 16GB Class 10
sd-ext 1GB
