Question about copying and pasting in Gmail

Not sure why but I can't figure out how to copy and paste while in a gmail mail message. No problems doing it within the web browser. I think i've tried everything. Any help? Thanks!
 
I've had this same problem trying to do. Like when I get an activation code.. and I am using my phone to activate an application on it. Can't highlight or copy.

I don't believe that it is an option to copy and paste on the 1.5 version. Not too sure abou the newer versions. Hopefully this will be added in an update.
 
Haha I was just wondering about that this morning. Hopefully it won't take as long to get that as the iPhone did :p
