Help Question about factory data reset

OK I know this will delete all my contacts and whatnot, but can I recover them by just logging back into my goggle account?

I want to free up all the space on my phone and start over, and I'm OK with losing apps and everything, but just want to know if I can recover things like contacts.

As long as your contacts are backed up by google then once you sign back in, then all of your contacts will sync to your google account.
