Question about ICS on the Dinc2

Bob-B

Newbie
This question will probably make some of you laugh, based on the apparent excitement of ICS. But my question is - what are really the benefits of ICS on a phone like the Dinc2? Here's why I ask. I don't root my phone, nor do I want to. I am perfectly satisfied with the user interface, using Sense that is on the phone. I am super happy with the stability of the phone. I am happy with the battery life, relatively speaking for a smartphone. So what would a ordinary user like me be getting with ICS?

If there are benefits for a user like me that I don't know about, I would sincerely love to hear about them. It's just that my experience with major operating system updates is that they tend to introduce new problems, and as I said, right now my Dinc2 is a totally trouble free phone.

One benefit is that the user interface in ICS is all hardware accelerated. This means that your phone (wile working fine) should have a less laggy feel in the interface.

Hey Bob-b,have a look at this article.
I expect something very similar for our Incredible 2 in the ICS update.
I hope it also has the ability to natively"disable" any app from consuming resources. I am also hoping for the native screenshot ability vol down+ power or power + home to capture a screenshot to the gallery. Given Verizon's style, my fingers are crossed hard.
