Root Question about Metamorph and notification bar

I have this theme installed ('HTC Sense' theme) and I'd like to change one or two minor things. One thing I'd really like to change is the oval shadow box that sits on the notification bar and surrounds the time. If I can, I'd like to get rid of that.

How do I do this?

Can I just edit the images I want, place them on my SD card and then apply?

I know that when you use metamorph to apply a theme, you do not have to install everything that comes with the theme...Instead of hitting apply all after it has extracted everything from the theme, you can manually go through it and chose what and what not to apply. Not sure exactly what controls what you want to get rid of, as I have never used that theme.

thats in the framework-res.apk but in the metamorph zip file extract it navigate to where that image is probably drawable-hdpi and simply remove that image and zip it back up and use metamorph to reapply the framework-res

I have noticed that after you extract the files in metamorph, it creates an unzipped folder under android themes on the sd card. I have found that if I want change 1 thing, I can just put the corrected .png in the right folder (correct path) and go into metamorph. choose existing theme and select the xml of the themed folder you put it in and apply. be careful though. I don't know what would happen if you put it in the wrong one.
