Root Question about sense

Whats the difference between roms that are sense 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5?

The ROMS just come with an upgraded version of sense. This usually brings about more bells and whistles lick weather on the lockscreen and things like that.

well there is not really a pure sense 2.1 rom. there are a few roms that have elements of both sense 2.1 and sense 3.0 cooked in. sense 3.5 is really big and can be kind of clunky. you will most likely have to partition your card for sense 3.5 roms. sense 3.0 roms have cool carousel homescreen that i really like. i have not really spent a lot of time trying sense 3.5 roms out because at the time i had my evo they were just coming out of beta testing so some roms still have bugs or issues still.

really though the best thing to do is check out the various roms that catches your eyes and read the changelog. it will explain what the roms contains. or just make a nandroid backup and flash away.

I am of the opinion that they just add more bulk and bloat to your phone. There are some nice things added, but from a performance perspective, there's no good reason to run the higher versions of Sense. MikG is about the only exception as no performance is sacrificed.

Not all phones are the same but will agree that running TT's rom is faster than Imagika but the sense options with 3.5 far out weigh the slowdown
