Help Question about Shady Contacts app

One more Q if you don´t mind.I recently tried to use an app called Shady Contacts and then I got this meesage:

– Please follow the below steps:

Step 1: Launch App Ops
Step 2: Slide to “Messaging” Tab
Step 3: Click on app: SC
Step 4: Turn Write SMS/MMS ON then go back

I don’t exactly understand what this means. Which messages will be deleted? Just the ones for the people I specify or my messages as well?

I don't think any will be deleted, rather the app requires access to the SMS/MMS database in order to hide some content (as per the app's description).

I see, but when I went to that part to turn it on like it asked me too, it was already on, so I just went back since it was already on, but nothing happened.
