Root Question for those running EViO

Hi,

So far, this has been my favorite ROM. Super stable, and actually seems to be gentle on the battery. I have a couple of questions for those of you who are running it.

1. I was wondering what kernel is best for it. On xda-developers, it says to run ziggy's because of its ability to set VDD levels. But I see a lot of references over there to running it with netarchy 4.3.4. I've run both kernels on various roms. Seeing as I'm going to be sticking with this one for a while, I'd love to know what works best.

2. What is better, using SetCPU, or allowing the battery saver script to run? I seem to be running ok with the undervolt -150 script applied. SetCPU seems like it has better abilities to underclock without having to modify the setup scripts.

1. it is hard to say what kernel works best for you because kernels do react differently on different phones. the only way to know for sure what works for you is to try it. netarchy kernels cfs havs more has always played nice with me on my phone. i have never tried ziggy's so not sure on that kernel.

2. in the past when i was on sense i would always use setcpu with a screen off profile at 128/128.

1. I always liked 4.3.4 more havs
2. With Calkulin's roms, it may be better to use the scripts but I never had any trouble using setcpu


If you like v1.8 I would highly recommend trying his gingerbread release
