Root Question regarding APKs vs flashable ZIPs

Grrrrr, i'm sick of this thing. I must have a radio issue or something. SMS stopped working, changed kernels, still would only send 1 txt before requiring another reboot, then 1 text again. Gonna try to find that King's GB Rls2 you mentioned, or maybe just CM7. Think it's a PRL or radio issue that's killing this ROM for me? I placed a call, and it wouldn't let me hang up till i pulled the battery.

I did a full data wipe, then format all, wiped dalvik/cache again, then restored from nandroid, then wiped dalvik/cache again before I rebooted lol im currently using tiamat 4.0.1 SBC but had switched to a 3.x version earlier as my battery life sucked quite a bit. I still haven't swapped from the 4.0.1 this time in case the kernel was a problem.

I'm at a loss on this one bud never heard of that issue...i would have said wipe cache and dalvik but you tried that...

Got my first lockup just now too. Sucks, thought id flash the latest CM7 but the download was apparently bad as it errored "(bad)" when I tried to flash it. Not enough hours in the day man, dang Android and its many choices LOL

Yeah just a bad download usually when you get "bad" aborted. Happened to me yesterday with mik g
