Root Question regarding the #2 Rom !

If I'm not mistaken,
you can't flash a new kernel to this ROM correct?

Does this mess-up the battery conservation?

You can flash any kernel you want. The kernel basically controls cpu battery consumption among other things so yes, a different kernel well yield different results. Nothing is better than stock mod kernel that's in #2 though.

Now now Fuzzy :P We all know that every device is different. Generally speaking, the kernel that ldrifta uses in #2 is the best, but there have been a few people who experienced better battery life with the plague kernel, or the blitzkrieg kernel
If I were the OP, I'd go through all of the kernels (listed here) and find the one that suits your phone the best.
Just make sure it's for the correct software version. You most likely have zvd, which is the best for most people.

Lol. Really? Who? I would love to talk to them and try their setup.

Me too I've never heard of this phenomenon lol

Sent from my typewriter.

Good word. Phenomenon.

Maybe with homeless i could see this but not after version 2.1 and up on #2.

Plague has been regarded as the worst for battery life. But i do like blitz but only for ocing. Battery life still doesn't hold a candle to stock speed.

Just remember if you choose to overclock it-change the buildprop:
~If you choose to Over Clock the rom, you should edit the sleepmode tweak in build.prop, the value is set at =1, you must change that value to =2 for better performance you canuse RomToolbox from google play for free todothis.

It was around when ~1.6 was released (really rough estimate)

LOL yeah the kernel doesn't affect the battery but its more the settings used on the kernel, if you flash plagued then the default clock speed is 12, when stock is 10. so that alone will drain battery slightly faster than the speed kernel, but the plague & blitzkrieg kernel do have some more fancy/cool additions to it.. so its user-choice for kernel... i only supply the stock/speed because it does everything "I" need it to do... so it's MY preffered kernel lol, but you can honestly use any of em, set clock to default 1000, then you should get similar results with battery, may be slight differences but for the most part should be good :D

Well your kernel has the best performance without overclocking.
