gall. So I got my Incredible yesterday. Should this have come with like a detailed instruction booklet? Or just the quick hints guide? I seriously haven't even d/l a single app. I'm just trying to figure out how to send texts, and change ringtones, etc. Like basic phone stuff. My Voyager came with step by step directions for even the simplest things and I feel kind of lost since I don't have that with this very sophisticated phone.
(For example. I just sent my first text message. When I exit out of that application to the home screen and then click the "Messages" button to get back in, it opens back up to my sent message with a tap to compose area and the qwerty keyboard. But I already sent it! And it doesn't have like an inbox separating sent and received messages because everything is just listed together. SO CONFUSED!)
EDIT: I found the online guide. lol had no idea there would be no hard copies. Time to read up.
Hit the back button. The little left arrow second from the right side of the phone. That will back you out of your current "conversation" in the messaging app to the "inbox" view.
This might help a little to get started too: DROID? Incredible Interactive "How To" Simulator

Also, battery question. I haven't downloaded any apps yet from the app store. I did sync gmail, yahoo mail, and facebook (not via friend stream).
I think my gps is on all the time? I click the "maps" icon under "all programs" and it always shows my location (or close to it, it's oddly never quite accurate). I found under settings and Location I have checked "Use wireless networks" but "Location Setting" is 911 only and Use GPS Satellites" is unchecked.
Anyway, it says my Android system is using 42%, cell standby is 25%, phone idle is 17%, Display is 13%, and Live wallpapers is 3%. Should Android System be that high normally? What does Android system even mean? (it also says up time is 15:01 and awake time is 2:42...I have no idea how to tell batter percent but it's yellow).
Sorry for all of the questions.

i am pretty sure all your apps are automatically stored on your ROM.
so no, you don't have a choice where to store your apps unlike photos/video/music
Is it possible to adjust the speed/sensitivity of the trackpad?
Is anybody else having a problem where apps randomly open up by themselves, I went to bed last night and only had lookout and my alarm clock running. When I woke up in the morning I had about 7-8 apps running(according to Adv Task Killer).
thanks for the help that was a good article, just uninstalled the ATK
just copy the files to the new card. you might want to get a 8gb card with a SD adapter card (assuming you have an SD slot on your pc--if not then you will need a usb adapter for the sd adapter) so that you can take the files off of the 2gb card, place them on your desktop. now connect your 8gb card and put the files on to it. plug into your phone and you are all set. just remember to turn off your phone while you do this.I just got my 2gb microsd card from Verizon today. Popped it in and am ready to go. Then I realized that next week I plan on buying the 8 gig from Amazon. How will changing from my 2gb to the 8gb affect my apps/programs/photos etc. How do I transfer it to the new card?
