what is the difference between 4.06 and 9.XX

4.06 was the official Eclair radio. Only 9.xx radio I'm aware of is 2.15.00.09.01 which is a leaked Froyo radio and since you're seemingly going back to 2.1, not in play.
How are you planning to make your journey backwards?
