Help Questions regarding Speaker and Display

I think this will improve for HTC with the Monsters/BeatsbyDRE..partnership. (Hopefully) Folks complain on the volume of HTC phones a lot when being compare to the competitions.

This is depressing!

I hated my old Desire because the screen and speaker was poor, then sent back an LG 3D because it was slow hoping the evo would be better.

How bad are the screen and speaker on the evo 3D?

Not sure if the latest release did address the Speaker issue, but here is a response from a member that spoke to a supervisor over at HTC and he mentions that HTC is aware and a new OTA update is to be release, so maybe they did fix it, for some reason I do not get the update anymore, so not sure if they pulled it or not, but waited as I am rooted and I wanted to make sure it did not affect root, see post below

just to let everyone know, i contacted htc and spoke to a supervisor named sheldon. i made him aware of our concerns with the speaker volume and i also made him aware of the responses from htc, he assured me that they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix for it which will go out in an ota update asap, he could not give me a specific date but hopefully sooner than later.. he also told me that they have been aware of this problem for some time and if i did not receive my update within a week to call back and follow-up on the status of the fix.. also we should get more responses to our forum concerns do to the fact that they have techs that only read forums and send them up to senior engineers daily, so there you go that's what i have so far..

I've noticed my speaker will - out of the blue - get stuck on low volume. Playing something thru the stock music player seems to clear it.

All this is bs, I mean if your e3d volume sticks im sorry but you just got one from a bad batch, I have one and thatd what im posting from right now, and my stepdad has the 4g, screen, speakers and all are 10x better than the 4g, and not just his, ive looked at multiple e4g's, and the same applys, now you want a true piece of crap, look at the evo shift.
