quick 3g toggle?

the 3g really kills my battery. is there an app, widget or setting that will make an icon on my homescreen where I can flip it on and off real quick rather than going into settings, then wireless and networks?

android app called anycut will do that.

thanks! i tried it but that app is so cumbersome to use! I cant find which "setting" to pick. if you pick the wrong one you have to start all over again. theres like 30 settings to choose from. they dont have desciptions!

am i doing something wrong?

No, I dont use it either there is a lot of trial and error with it. but it will do what you want it to.
I dont know of any others.

Download widgetsoid (free) from the market. Longpress on your home page and pick the size widget that you want. [√] mobile data - under the network tab and scroll the lowest bar and click "apply" then it will ask about global settings ..click "yes". Then click "data toggle mode" and select "root toggle" that one works great for me. U can also select apn toggle but its slower reaction when you hit the widget. My phone is rooted if yours isnt you may have to use the "apn toggle". I dont know. But with this i cut 3g on and off on my homescreen easy. Hopefully this helps somebody.

There is a great stock widget, called power control, to adjust settings (wi-fi, GPS, sync, bluetooth) qwikly.

Turn sync off.

I only briefly turn on sync when I need to adjust my calender or something.

Power control works really well for most stuff but doesn't turn off 3g, it turns off sync which technically will save you power. But if you really want to be able to turn off and on 3g easily I recommend quick settings from the market. It has a lot of settings in one place (brightness, ringer, wifi, gps, 3g, volume levels, bluetooth, battery stats) and is set up well. Its one of my favorite apps. And you can use it with or without root.
