Root QUICK! Does root block ##778????

I'm on hold now...I can't dial that. The EPST or whatever it is crashes. Would running root cause that? I obviously don't want to tell them that I'm rooted.

I'm off the phone with them now...

I was a little scared there for a second because I didn't know if they would be able to tell I was rooted if I couldn't dial that number and get to that menu.

They are sending me yet another Inc. And, yep, another refurb. I'm tired of reburbs that don't work. I guess I should be happy that I got 3 months out of this one instead of my usual 1 month.

Root doesn't in itself doesn't block dialing the number, might just be another symptom of the issues you are having.

PS, don't forget to follow this guide to properly unroot:

Correct in saying that root does not block that and it could be a symptom of many problems the phone itself is having.

Just make sure you do the 100% UNROOT before sending the other phone back because chances are their techs might not noticed it is rooted and just send it out for repair and sell as refurbished phone but if they catch root on there you will not be a happy camper come your next bill. Because the phone they are sending you will be added in full price onto your next bill.

Since it has been a couple days i am assuming you already received the new phone and rooted it and went to town on it. I know Verizon is quick about sending out phones. Any problems with the new one?

Thanks, I'm working on un-rooting my old one right now. I should be getting the replacement tomorrow. Trying to back up my data (angry birds, etc.) before wiping it for the un-root process, but it's being difficult and dying on me. Ug.
