Quick issue

Ok guys so most of you probably wont know me, but some of the mods do i posted here to try and get some attention, i imagine this may not be the best place for it but whatever.

ok so as some of you may know androidforums has its very own special little irc chatroom which you can access via the link above. but here is the problem i have with it. i have been trying my very best (im on irc almost all day) to help and direct people where they may need it with whatever phones they may have, and for the last week or so.. the room has been blossoming into a place where there is almost always someone there available to talk and help.

my concern is rather simple, i would like to see more support in there, from other members, staff whichever. (id also like for people to stop quiting 3 seconds after they ask a question) but the room is starting to gain some popularity, and rather then having people join and get frustrated because they cant get the answers they seek i would like to have the room be used as an extension of the forum and help people

i know im good at helping people (just look at my thanks compared to my join date ;P) but i cant solve every question. i would like to send a shoutout to ardchoille and LBPHeretic for the help they have given as well

ok but seriously now, can we get someone in there who has op or something? aside from the spamming that goes on now .. ill just leave it at the room isnt very family friendly most of the time..

There certainly is occasional spam and troubled users which pass through and it sure would be nice to have an active OP to handle such issues. Since I've recently become an IRC nerd.. I'm on a lot now. I'll be more than happy to be an operator for the #androidforums channel if it's determined that one is needed.

I can also attest that Shabbypenguin would make a fabulous OP. It would be pretty nice to have two active people to maintain and moderate..

Keep up the great work Shabby. I've lurked on there a couple of times, and every time I see you trouble shooting users with phones I don't think you even have. The detail knowledge you have for some of those phones really blew me away, lol. My troubleshooting skills very basic, lol, while the issues some of the members had were beyond me, lol.

ive owned a HeroC, Epic 4G, Nexus S 4G, and a T-mobile G2

but android is still android and whatever i dont know i try to google for some people that have less then stellar google fu
