Root Quick question for people with the oxygen gingerbread rom

Hi,

Quick question, I've recently rooted my desire, finally took the plunge and now am running the Oxygen RC6 gingerbread rom and its very nice, but it seems to have the old market, which is a little dissapointing being on the flash new android 2.3 but still having the outdated market, so my question is, is there anyway to update the market?

I've been to the new market, and it's nothing to get excited about.

This is a shot in the dark but have you tried deleting your acount from your phone and then signing back in? It may not allow you but if you want the new market?
 
I like it lol. So there is no way to just install it or anything? like an apk file or something, ill try delete my account and see what happens.

As your on Oxygen I think its uop to the devs as to what they install. If you want to try the new MIUI it has the new market.
 
you should be able to replace the market app with the new one, its hosted somewhere 2.7 i think
you go into data/app and replace vending.apk with the new market (vending.apk) then reboot
