Sorry, I'm sure this is here somewhere, and about a zillion other places, but I've just spent half an hour looking at serach results and am nowhere nearer an answer...
My contract is up in a couple of months. I'm currently on a rooted stock Froyo ROM, but am thinking about just flashing the 2.3RUU.
And, yes, I have tried the other Gingerbread ROM's out there, but they are not suitable, I won't bore you with why.
I know the RUU will remove any carrier branding, but what I'm unclear on is whether it will also remove the SIM lock to T-Mobile?

Edit: Just read about 5 posts down (!) that the unlock utility no longer needs to run from an ISO, so could always go that route I guess. Just being lazy really.
