Help Quick Question: why do I want a 5G phone when 5G hardly exists anywhere

Personally? I'm happy with 4G speed. I really don't feel as if I'm lacking. Honestly, I felt 3G was lacking. For me, going from 3G to 4G was like going from dialup to cable. 4G does it for me. Eh, I'm happy. No one is forcing me into 5G.

Will it really use that band for calls? It would be pretty dumb considering how easily blocked they are.

5G is already available, depending on where you live. But even if 5G coverage is available in your neck of the woods, it's still not fully evolved into the mobility-altering experience its advocates have promised.

No, you're right. In NYC, which is a large metropolis, it's exceptionally spotty.
