Root Quick question

Hey i have root on my device an am running 2.1, if i wait for the official ota of froyo 2.2 will root stay on my phone or should i unroot it before the official ota? Thanks

I am very curious about this,
Because the file is not edited since we can apply it through stock recovery, so I would have to disagree and say it is not different, its a leaked official version
So I wonder if you could just move su before the OTA and you would still have root.

But none of this matters because birdman already rooted 2.2:D
 
Lol. Point made. It was a signed update. But like droider said, 2.2 has been rooted alrady. Just not released.

:D Does this mean there might be one of those '1-click' root thingies released soon for 2.2 so us scared 'newbs' don't have to go through the multi-step process with fingers crossed to get root in froyo?
