Root Quick root method..

Hi all, I watched a video on youtube that used a quick root method using unrevoked. Is this an ok method for a beginner?? I searched on this site for a step by step guide for quick rooting but found nothing. Is there such a guide here? Is it ok to use?

Actually, there is a guide stickied to the top of the forum called Rooting for Dummies. It is the most detailed guide for rooting I have found on the internet.

Thanks so much for the help. I just decided today to root. I think the wise thing for me to do is spend a few days reading through all the info. instead of just jumping in. All this information just seems so overwhelming, Im afraid Ill screw it up. LOL. So I will read everything again and try in a few days. You guys will hear from me then. Thanks again. Lesa

Lol that is a wise thing, to help ease your mind I've yet to actually see someone come in here and have a bricked phone really. But I only have 400 posts and have only read a few thousand... . Someone older may have.... They thought it was bricked a lot and it was effed but fixable the worst thing I've seen is losing 4g permanently which is entirely avoidable if you back up properly. No worries study away we are here whenever you are ready.
