Root [R910]EG06+EF23 stock tar with 2.2.2 - details inside

OK, so I am confused. It appears some of you have odin'd 2.2.2, and then rooted it, and added v6supercharger, and 3G turbocharger after rooting.

I am trying to get exact instructions on going to 2.2.2 or somehow improving my phone. I do not know what to do with the pda files for v6 and 3g. When I use odin, what files do I use to get to 2.2.2 and with what settings. Is ther something to check or uncheck to keep root?

Is it safer to just upgrade the radios? What files for this. I know I have seen it on other posts, but I am having problems searching it, as my PC is having problems searching in androidforums.

I know I have seen option 1 vs option 2, does this apply? Do I sound like a newbie or what?

Any help would be much appreciated.
 
OK, I am in 2.2.2 now. How do I get root access without installing basix back in. (Shatterproof did this right?) Also, what do I do with the pdf files for v6 etc. How do I install these? Thanks.
 
hey guys, I was able to update, my LTE was unknown until i did the update.. my 4g works great. however, i cannot receive any calls or make calls or text messages. did i turn off something or go wrong some place?
 
I finally figured out everything but the pdf files for v6 etc.. So far my phone is much smoother and faster. The wifi and data switching are working better. My meter for speed is coin dozer, and it is lightning. Sorry to ask questions I wa able to answer myself, but I still need help with the v6 pdf files and what to do with them to convert then for use, and how to install. Thanks.
 
Thanks I foun.dit in market and installed it fine. Just not sure how to tweak it.not to sure about 3g. Thanks everyone. Phone works great now. GPS is still sporadic.

Make sure your device is not in LTE only mode, via the**583385## menu.
 
do any of u guys have a custom backup recovery of the 2.2.2 file? im not too fond with using odin since the last time i used it,it made my phone have some market issues,if anyone would donate me that file I would so be appreciated by this forum :D
 
Odin would be safer than a backup recovery. Plus there is a potential inadvertent private data sharing problem when passing around custom backups, since the ERI information is also saved in a backup. For that reason, it's really hard for someone to pass it along to someone else...
But, with Odin, you get a nice, clean state, from a file.
If you are scared of Odin, why not use the Heimdall package I made? It's a "two-click" solution that actually does everything for you, as long as you have the Heimdall software installed...
