if signal is ok and everything is functioning you do not need to change it
the latest doesnt mean the best. its different for each carrier and the carrier configurations.
so the likeliness is you might see improved signal but then again you also might see a degradation in signal. similar with wifi performace against certain routers. it can improve or make things worse depending on the router you have.
radio is a big placebo in most cases. people flash it cos they can and then make up something in their head to justify the change.
what people dont tell you is that flashing radio is one of the most dangerous things to do for a desire. if you have a bad flash you have a brick that in alot of cases is not recoverable
