WONT SHUT UP!!

Every 4 minutes, it plays a sound of a new EMAIL notification-- I HAVE NO NEW OR unread MESSAGES!!!!

ALL DAY!! ALL NIGHT!! ALL WEEK!!!

I cant keep my phone on vibrate forever!!!

I uninstalled and reinstalled my email accounts, and it WONT GO AWAY! No drafts, no nothing...



Please help me out!! I think Im bout to put a bullet in my head..

Have you tried a reboot/battery pull? Also, how do you know it's an email notification rather than some other notification? Anything in the notification area?
 
Settings and factory reset do no good. battery pull-it does nothing either

Of course theres nothing 'extra' or out of the ordinary before this started, and theres nothing new in the notification area.
 
This sounds suspiciously like some kind of email polling. What kind of accounts do you have?

Let's do this. Install alogcat from the market if you haven't already. Go to menu->more->preferences and change the level to information (no need for too much junk). While you're there, change the format to "Time". Go back to the main screen where the log scrolls, and let it run for a while, making sure you get a few of your phantom notifications while it's running. Once that is done, select the option to save the log, and send it to me. I can't promise anything, but I bet your notifications will show up in there.
 
I got the one you sent, but it wasn't quite enough information. Can you do the same, but let it run long enough for it to pick up maybe three of the phantom notifications? Thanks.
