Help RAM/ memory zte warp sequent

I used the app Gpu identifier from the android market. Why does it say I have 1 Gb ram ddr but only 579 usable. May be a dumb question but I guess I just don't understand how I couldn't have more Ram for use. Thank u
 
It only has 768 mb of ram but the system needs a little over 200 mb to actually work and the 512 is left for the owner to use up.
 
Probably a bug in the app or it has problems reading the kernel info. You can only use that 579 ram, can't expand or anything. Try a different app. I use the app android system info, very accurate. Overall the app is wrong. If we had one gig of ram we would have 768 mb of ram available to us instead of the 579 that we have because we only have 768 of ram.
