Hey Guys I don't knw y it started happening but two days ago my phone suddenly rebooted and stucked into bootloop. I pulled the battery nd reinserted and it worked fine but couple of hours laters it started happening again and became more frequent. So i cleared the cache/dalvik and reflashed the rom. Worked good for couple of hours but suddenly had a reboot and it again got stuck in bootloop. I had to pull the battery again to make it working. i dont knw y it is happening but it keeps happening randomly. My phone will suddenly reboot and get stuck into recovery until i pull d battery..
Can anyone help plz??
Thanks

Did you have your phone overclocked? If so, how much?
i do hv my phn overclocked but the reboot is not bcz of dat,.. cz my phn is overclocked since the 1.7 kernel came out.. and its working pretty stable on 1.9 for long tym but the incident suddenly happened two days ago and my phn ws actualy on 1.6 dat tym cz reduced to save battery.

You dont give enough info to be able to make helpful suggestions but honestly, Ive been waiting for threads like this to pop up since people are running such high OC's all the time. Its one thing to raise the clock speed for a game or an app that might need it but to run those speeds all the time is completely unnecessary and IMO damaging to your hardware.

Restore your back up or reflash a ROM

As Shiny said, go to Recovery, wipe everything then restore your backup or install a fresh ROM.

and remember every phone is different, some phones can clock to 2.1-2.2ghz while others cant go past 1.5-1.8ghz.

Sometimes doing some data wipe also takes care of any issue that you are going through. But then again that's optional.

For some reason now i seem to be having the same issue. Ive had gingersteem extreme installed since PG first released it and ive never had this problem but now in the last 5 days it happened twice to me. The first time i was going through my app drawer trying to get to an app and my phone rebooted and got stuck in boot animation loop. So i took out the battery and put it back in and booted the phone and it started working fine again with no problems. Until today. Earlier today i was going through some email you know deleting the junk and stuff and my phone again for the second time rebooted and got stuck in the droid animation boot loop. Only taking out the battery fixes the issue but now who knows how long till it happens again. Ive always been oc to 2ghz since first day pg released 2ghz kernel without problems so i dont think set cpu is causing the problems but what do you guys think?

Any suggestions? Apps conflicting with each other?

Perhaps having 2 overclock apps. ROM toolbox has one built in and I believe someone was having an issue when having ROM toolbox and another overclock app, IE. SETCPU.

Yes I be that person. Stupid phone would reboot when I was charging it and using it at the same time. I removed SetCPU and my problem went away. So they were definitely conflicting with each other.

But ive never touched the rom tool box cpu controls. Is there a way for me to disable the cpu controls on rom tool box. I dont want to get rid of either app becuase i paid money for both and i use both for diffrent reasons. In rom toolbox i only use the boot animation changer and icon changer not the cpu modifier. Thats what i got set cpu for. And correct me if im wrong since ive never been the cpu slider tab of rom tool box but arent the sliders just for the main profile meaning you cant set profiles for sleep and charging like set cpu does?

Thats what the governors are for, esp like ondemand, it only runs at its max setting when needed.

lol ya I realize that. But it still means that the phone spends a hell of a lot of time at 2ghz as opposed to being clocked at 1.4 where it spends 0% of the time at 2.0 I compare it to smoking, every cig you smoke...... But thats just my opinion, people can do whatever they want with their device.
