Random Thought Thread

I have just a couple, which I use as personal tones for my kids (I kinda like knowing it's one of them before I see the screen).

I'm occasionally tempted to set my general ringtone to Debbie Harry singing "Don't leave me hanging on the telephone", but have resisted so far... ;)
Yeah I just do not like it, when my phonax picks up on telephone calls..

I used a snippet of a Bob Dylan tune for a few years as my general ringtone. It was something I could hear over the equipment running at work. Now that I wear hearing aids, a regular and less attention getting ringtone is much better.

Finally cleaned off the jelly substance and food that was underneath my keyboard yesterday, Still my spelling sucks hahaha :)
Finally did get a new mattress comfort with sheets, and fitted sheet of my new mattress, am having a party tonight :)
Still took the wrong advice on when I should elope though, seems like a billion years ago I first started dating her :)

Would the entire internet would please stop aberration youtube as yt, it makes you sound like you are saying Youth Transgender, or even Young Thugs.

I’d hazard a guess that 99%+ of English speaking people on the interwebs would (by default) interpret the “yt” abbreviation as “YouTube.” Context tells, though, and when you see “search yt” or “I saw this on yt” nobody’s going to see that reference as either of your suggestions.
Of course if you see “I saw a bunch of yt on yt” then all bets are off! ;)

Happy Star Trek Day, everyone!

In my opinion... its easier to get lucky when the other person is drunk. Haha.

By the way I love Lord Of The Rings. Everyone is obsessed with Harry Potter... and I like it... but LOTR is like the "adult" version.

New member. Why are the forums so old, 2008? I have Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, 5G. I am not sure this is the best option to problem solve my smartphone.

Heads up; today the 21st of September 2021 @ 21 seconds past 9:09pm this evening, the time & date (in the Australian 24-hour format) will be: 21:09:21 21/09/21.

So one of my friends want me to support her business of tarot reading and magic..
Hmm... I build her web site and talked her through a few dozen times and she wants this as a full time occupation.
p.s. how come I get always pull aside on FB for some crap that I did not do, and having self controlled people of their spouses?!

If you’ve ever been owned by a dog (we often think we own them, but sometimes we get really lucky), you know there are countless great days and many that you could call “best.”

But, unfortunately, there comes a day that can only be described as the worst. Sometimes you don’t see it coming, but even when you do, it’s still unbearable. And you know it’s somewhere on the horizon from the first day your dear furriend enters your life.

Today will be one of those days for us. Our dear boy Liam has been increasingly struggling the last few years with a slow-growing mass in his left hip that infiltrated the muscle, making it inoperable. Most recently it’s weakened the leg to the point he can’t walk unassisted, and even then it’s not far. He still enjoys his “rubbies” and has a healthy appetite, but his overall quality of life has just degraded. He’s a rescue, so we don’t know his actual age, though we guess it to be about 14 or 15, so he’s had a good long life, but he’s one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever known, maybe the sweetest overall, which makes it yet harder to say goodbye.

Some have said that perhaps the greatest act of love is to help a beloved pet leave this life. I can’t say if that’s necessarily true, but I can’t imagine loving this redhead any more. And I’m surely going to miss him tremendously. Anyway, thanks for reading if you made it this far. We’d appreciate your thoughts and prayers about 5:30 PM CDT as we say our final farewells.

All the best, everyone.
