Basic exercises are the best, natural motion with some using your own body weight. It'll make you strong and fit quickly. It could be made fun, competition in the above 😀

Healthy living is a choice. No matter what schools shove into students face. Many schools only enforce a very limited variety of exercise, like football, baseball and basketball but fail dreadfully in teaching life long exercise. My high school was the same way. They only rewarded and noticed the football and basketball players, while at the same time cutting out many units from the curriculum like tennis, golf, bowling etc.

I hated every sport and requirement that my school provided with the exception of badminton. However that was only a week long unit. That was the unit I actually tried. Every other unit I was the one who did nothing.

Yet now I'm out of high school, and as lazy as I was in PE, I'm more active than ever. I'm running, cycling, pushups, sit ups, and squats as part of my daily life.

My PE class taught me, the education system sucks and validates my opinion.

Go vegetarian!!!

:p

Sorry couldn't resist..

Ps
I'll kick ur A&$ in badminton:D

I could never. I love tacos.

And you provably will. After playing against my PE teacher ya. The score was 21 - 1. Me with the 1. And that's because he didn't server good. Meaning I got nothing on him.

But still I enjoy playing the sport. Too bad schools don't go on a bike ride. That would be epic.

You kids have it easy! When I was in High School, Physical Education was taught by an ex Marine Corp drill instructor. 20 degrees F outside - shorts and t shirt for a mile run. Then back inside the gym for calisthenics. This was 3 days a week. No, I did not participate in an varsity sports. :)

See that's not the way to teach physical education. Crap like that is not for citizens. Marines sure go ahead and have fun with that.

Physical education isn't taught well enough. Or not up to my standards. It should be taught in a fun and exciting way in which students have a choice in what they participate in. If schools are forcing crap into students that they don't like how will they ever find something that their interested in?

They may not.

Yes. Yes it is.

I was in the 3rd grade and gym was climbing rope to the top of the gymansium. Using the pegs and climbing up, across, and down and having to do it and part of passing the grade.

We also didn't bully the non athletes. All of us were put in position where we were most likely to succeed, or least likely to fail. We tried like hell to win, but we played fair and shook hands at the end of gym. That was all of us from the best to the worst. I tore a bunch of ligaments in my ankle, I saw kids get busted noses, I even saw a kid slice his wrist wide open when he put his had through one of those chicken wire lined safety glass windows in the gym doors. It didn't matter, we played hard, we played to win, and we had fun.

My gym teacher was creepy and just grose .. With his short shorts and tube sox and creepy leering creepiness

Hmmmm
I'm very athletic but I didn't like the teachers in elementary middle or high school
Weirdos

Ouch. I'm not competitive like you must be. I don't play to win. I play for the fun of the game. While trying not to get hurt.

Maybe because you had a crappy PE program? :D

Kids don't get to choose which math or English units to study coming up the ranks - they're given what helps them.

The older generations voted to make it easier because they pansied out.

Competition is part of life. It's a skill to learn, not a character flaw.

I'm impressed that you're taking care of yourself despite the bad PE you had - kudos for that, srsly!

It's not necessary to always be competitive, I often play for fun myself.

But the fact that you missed Unforgiven's point proves what you've missed out on - he and I were raised to respect anyone who tried but also to try.

To compete with ourselves so that we knew we could face challenges and improve.

That's not something that you say ouch to and then take the high ground of playing for fun.

That's something to which you say, ok I've learned to take care of my own body despite them, how do I get in on the other parts they didn't teach me?

Good point.

I got teased because I sucked at sports. So I stopped trying completely. If I didn't like the sport I wasn't good therefore I didn't try. So that's how my opinion forms. At my schools respect wasn't taught.

So I cycle. There's nobody to say that I suck at that.
