Ouch.

I've been with Allstate for about 3 years now. I started out paying $120/month for full coverage on a 2012 Ford Fusion at 24 with them. When I turned 25 they bumped it up to $130. This week they just bumped it up to $150. AH HELL NO. I'm now paying $88/month for more coverage at Geico.

I just saved a bundle on my car insurance by switching to Geico

they must have different strokes for different rates :p

I checked with GEICO a while back to see if I could do better.
Funny thing with them, they actually are a front for Progressive: when I asked about my motorcycle being insured with them, they said we have to forward you to our Motorcycle Agent: and dum de dum dum.... it is Progressive.... and as I already have Progressive....

I asked the nice lady "um, since I already how Progressive, just how are you going to give me better rates?"

we rang off, and I'm still with Progressive :)

I believe my insurance company's motto is, "Thanks for your money, now piss off!".

Right. And in the event of any problems recovering losses from third party, will just throw their hands up and say - sorry mate, no can do, that's a claim on your policy. And by the way, we'll extort more money out of you next time, because you're obviously a shit driver, letting someone run into the back of you.

Did you get the line from the Stephanie / Stephen Harrigan piece "It's not easy being blue"?

IMHO, really well written, more than just straight-up English.
Kermit belongs in a display case adjacent to Lincoln's hat, in the Smithsonian.

Edit: Dig it; Knew it when I wrote it......Belongs the key word to emphasize.:D

And as ever, men and women of good conscience will debate the hierarchy of priorities in society.;)

I can certainly take or leave "The Fonz", but Henry Winkler recently had some thoughtful and gracious things to say about Gary Marshall, and his legacy, creative influence.

Chef Benedict of course. My favorite breakfast BTW. Eggs smothered in a sauce made of eggs and butter. What's not to like.

I get that. My question is, what made someone separate eggs, put the yolks in a double boiler, and whisk melted butter into them. What first made some one think of that.
