That's the last time I stand in front of the trumpet section! I was tooting, but could not hear my own horn. These guys think that 'mf' means 'mega force'.
And I could just about forgive the volume, maybe, if they played the notes in the right place, and with some quality of tone
The irony is that trumpets, of all instruments don't have to give it full beans, because their high frequency notes will always carry above the rest of the band.

Irony #2 is that the trombone section gets a *lot* of stick because of volume. We got nothing on the trumpet section, I tell ya.

You see, just because jazz/swing sounds laid back, does not mean it lacks precision. Those swung off-beats have to be in the right place.

Oh yes, I would have a lot to say if I was band master.

One is precariously balanced in a semi-private area, but the rest are on her arms.

She has plans for each shoulder blade, and I think there may be an ankle tattoo she wants to get in the future...
