Random Thought Thread

For a month at least. Thanks to some charity from friends.

At least some of them realize how important my work is to me. The rest think I'm nuts. Which I am but, I thought I was screwed.

Changing jobs. I find the whole process a complete pain. The interview is stressful, pressured, and often the interviewer doesn't know what they're doing, or even what they are looking for.
Then, assuming they didn't lie or deceive you about the job role, you have the problems of integrating into a new team of people, some of which may be complete arseholes, or perceive you as a threat to their position.
Switching jobs is usually a complete leap of faith. Unless you know the people you're going to be working with, and have in-depth knowledge of the situation.
It's one reason I've been in my current job for the last 6 years.

(Sorry, wrong thread, should have been in the rant thread)
