I've just poured the last of my coffee but now you guys are confusing me so I clearly haven't had enough. Off to grind another batch o' beans and start another pot, yup, that's what I need to do! Then I can think about what all this means and when I should be sure to drink more coffee.

I feel inferior. Don't hate me, this is what I'm drinking. I have no idea where the little bits of ground up beans come from:

As long as it looks sort of like coffee, has caffeine and is hot I guess it's OK (for you, not for me, not by a longshot :p )

I'm afraid we don't have a coffee grinder machine here at work. Maybe that is standard equipment in American workplaces? :)
But yeah, it's the caffeine I'm interested in.

Well, I work from home so there's that. My brother-in-law bought the grinder for me because I commented on how good his coffee was. He also sends me a 2lb bag of beans every month. If I wasn't so lucky I can't honestly say I'd not be drinking the same stuff you are!

At my previous job they had a coffee service. They supplied premeasured bags of whole beans and provided a 24-cup ... um , it was more than an urn ... had a built-in grinder and filter, was self-cleaning (sort of) and was glass lined and insulated so the coffee stayed hot and fresh for over 4 hours.

It was glorious.

Here, we do have a pot, but I must admit that most use the Keurig for one-off cups ... and we do sell coffee pods, so generally they just pull a case from inventory as "samples". ;)
